1 . Introduction
The purposes from the paper are to provide a basic overview of the extent of privatization of public services in the aspects of social providers, welfare, and employment; rationales for privatizing service delivery, and evidence of effectiveness or problems. Illustrations are included to highlight particular types of privatization and actual functional experience. You cannot find any single definition of privatization. Privatization covers an extensive range of strategies and types, including contracting out for solutions, voucher applications, and even the sale of community assets for the private sector. But for the purposes on this paper, privatization refers to the provision of publicly-funded services and actions by non-governmental entities.
Privatization is not a new idea. The current rationales for privatization and their execution strategies fluctuate very little coming from earlier privatization initiatives (even as early as the 1930s). Possibly the biggest sole change in the present privatization environment in the area of sociable and individual services may be the possibility of non-public companies getting contracted with to administer whole public-funded systems (e. g., all of well being, all of kid support, all of workforce development).
